FAST Aerospace is proud to announce that it has been awarded recognition by the Italian Air Force on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the "Gruppo Ingegneria per l’AeroSpazio" (GIAS) of the Reparto Sperimentale di Volo (RSV). The event featured a dedicated Call for Ideas, launched to promote collaboration between the Air Force and the broader industrial and research communities across Italy’s aerospace sector.
Among numerous innovative and high-potential proposals submitted to the call, FAST Aerospace's HyperDart program was selected as the most compelling and promising concept by the technical jury of GIAS and RSV. This acknowledgment marks an important milestone for FAST, as it continues to develop its cutting-edge hypersonic air-launch system aimed at revolutionizing access to space and high-speed flight.
The award highlights the relevance and strategic alignment of HyperDart with the Air Force’s interests in next-generation aerospace technologies, including unmanned systems, reusable propulsion, and high-Mach operation capabilities.
"We are honored by this recognition and deeply grateful to the Italian Air Force for the opportunity to share our vision," said Lorenzo Beggio, CEO and Co-founder of FAST Aerospace. "This award reinforces our mission to accelerate hypersonic innovation in Italy and Europe through meaningful collaborations with both institutional and operational partners."
FAST Aerospace would like to thank the entire jury, and in particular Dr. Tommaso Ghidini, Wg Cdr Jacopo Paoli, and Wg Cdr Ferdinando Dolce of the Italian Air Force, for their trust and support. The company looks forward to working closely with national defense and research actors to bring HyperDart to life.
